Ibero Merger is an association of independent boutique financial advisories located in Spain and Latin America. Member countries include Spain, Argentina, México and Pèru. The association furthermore has representatives in Columbia, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile and Paraguay. The association helps with M&A, joint ventures, strategic-corporate advice as well as consulting. Ibero Merger helps national companies who wish to expand internationally as well as global companies looking to establish themselves in Latin American countries.
Roberto Martínez de Chiara
President
Currently, Roberto Martínez De Chiara serves as the CEO of Dantes Int. Corp. Since 2006, he has been advising companies on their sales expansion processes.
Previously, Roberto held roles such as General Sales Director of Red Elite de Electrodomésticos, CEO and Board Member of Natuzzi Ibérica, and Sales Director and Member of the Management Committee at Lidl Supermarkets. He has also ventured into entrepreneurship, founding businesses in sectors such as international trade, fast food, and oil.
Roberto holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy.
Jorge López
Vice President
Jorge has been involved in the restructuring and sale of companies across various sectors, including food, porcelain, paper, metallurgical, publishing distribution, soil stabilization, LED lighting, and technological assistance services.
Previously, he founded two technology companies and spent ten years as Director of Strategic Planning at Schneider Electric Spain. Jorge began his career as an Account Officer at Bank of America in Madrid.
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and an MBA from the IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
Robert Sanahuja Garcia
Director, Spain
Lawyer and Jury Account Creditor with extensive experience in negotiation and advisory services for mergers and acquisitions transactions since 1993.
He has been associated with Garal Group since 1993 and previously worked as a Manager in the legal and tax departments of professional services firms such as KPMG and Coopers & Lybrand.
He has significant experience in transactions within the pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical sectors. From 2007 to December 2018, he served as President of AFEPADI (Business Association of Manufacturers and Distributors of Food Supplements and Dietetic Products).

Francisco Hernández Weber
Director, Mexico
Mr. Hernández Weber, founder of the company, has over 20 years of experience in financial consulting for companies. He began his professional career in the financial consulting division of BDO Consulting, where he worked for seven years across the Mexico and Brussels offices. During this time, he contributed to major projects such as simultaneous public placements in the Mexican and American securities markets, the development of credit risk optimisation methodologies, and the valuation of bank portfolios.
Subsequently, Mr. Hernández Weber joined Banca Serfin, focusing on new business development. Before founding VENSER, he worked at Pablo Rión y Asociados, leading mergers and acquisitions projects across various industries, including food, financial services, real estate, and consumer goods.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Anahuac University and completed a Master’s program in Business Administration at the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). Additionally, he earned a Diploma in Corporate Finance from the Catholic University of Louvain in Brussels, Belgium.
Diego Ahumada Rioja
Director, Argentina
Diego specialises in retail product consulting, providing advice on company sales, mergers, and acquisitions. He is also involved in financial restructuring and equity investment projects.
He joined Nexen Consulting in 2013 and, since 2017, has served as Sales Director of Sabores Saludables (a healthy snack company), where he established the marketing plan and leads product commercialisation. Additionally, Diego is the co-founder of Crouch, an apparel manufacturing and marketing company, where he has been involved in all management processes.
Diego holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica Argentina.
