Enrique García Alvarado
Founder & Managing director
Enrique has more than 30 years of professional advisory experience in corporate finance, M&A, and cross-border transactions across a wide variety of industry sectors. Prior to founding Garal Group, he served as Executive Director of Eurocontinental Advisers, a private equity management company based in London and backed by Crédit Agricole (France) and DG Bank (Germany). He previously worked as Senior Manager at KPMG, where he managed M&A legal and tax advisory activities. He holds degrees in Economics and Law from the University of Barcelona and has completed IESE Business School’s General Management Program (PDG).
Manuel has extensive experience advising companies in the industrial, construction, and environmental and renewable energy sectors. He previously served in various senior management positions, including as CEO of WAT, an electromechanical equipment and instrumentation company; and as Managing Director of Ecofluid Tratamientos, a company engaged in environmental engineering and water purification. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, and has completed IESE Business School’s Senior Management Program (PADE).
Michael specializes in financial valuations, market analysis, negotiation strategy and deal execution. He has extensive experience in business development, with particular expertise in the information technology, HORECA, tourism services, and publishing sectors. He previously served as Associate with the New York merchant banking group of Babcock & Brown investment bank. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts (IEAF). He graduated from Haverford College with a degree in Sociology.
James has more than 20 years of experience in international transactions and business development, including providing advice regarding deal structure, negotiation, contracting, risk assessment/mitigation, and compliance. He has expertise in intellectual property law, technology transactions, licensing, SaaS, data protection, strategic alliances, deal strategy and negotiation. He previously served as Vice-President and European counsel for Saba Software and practiced law with the Technology Transactions Group of the Morrison & Foerster law firm in San Francisco. He holds a JD law degree from Harvard Law School, an MA degree in English Literature from the University of Cambridge, and an AB degree in Biology from Harvard University.
Belen specializes in project development, market research and analysis, and operations management. Prior to joining Garal Group, she worked in the San Francisco Bay Area for 18 years in publishing, the arts, and project development for startups and established technology companies. She graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a degree in Psychology.
