Consilio Partners, the Danish member of the International euroMerger organisation, is an independent corporate finance advisor specialising in mergers and acquisitions. From our office in Copenhagen, we serve clients looking for un-conflicted and professional advice on their most important transactions. Consilio Partners offers a broad range of services for its clients, including strategic development, business plan creation, target screening, post-merger integration, board support and M&A process management. Consilio Partners was founded in 2014 by Jacob Therkelsen.

Jacob Therkelsen

Founding Partner

Jacob Therkelsen has more than 20 years of professional advisory experience, and he has specialised in corporate finance and M&A since 1998. He has a broad range of experience from audit, transaction service, M&A and capital markets advisory.

He has led numerous transactions on both the buy-side and sell-side involving public and private companies, private equity and structured debt finance, restructuring and accelerated M&A.

Before founding Consilio Partners, Jacob worked 18 years with Deloitte as manager and Corporate Finance partner. Jacob holds an Executive MBA (Hons), a B.Com in banking and finance and a B.Com in financial and management accounting from Copenhagen Business School.

Wilson Zhu

Associate Partner

Wilson Zhu has over 20 years of international banking and advisory experience, specialising in leveraged finance and cross-border M&A. He has developed strong relationships with European and Asian investors and financial institutions, including private equity firms, multinational corporations, banks, and leasing companies.

Wilson has completed numerous transactions across diverse sectors such as energy, consumer, technology, transportation, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals. He has worked globally in countries including Denmark, Norway, Germany, the U.K., Japan, and China.

Wilson holds an MSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Bath and Copenhagen Business School.

Nicolaj Legarth

M&A Manager

Nicolaj Legarth has more than 10 years of experience in corporate finance and M&A, gained from various transactions on both the buy-side and sell-side.

Before joining Consilio Partners, he worked with BDO Corporate Finance and Danske Bank. Nicolaj holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, specialising in Finance and Accounting.

Kasper Enø Stadager

Senior Client Advisor, M&A

Kasper has nearly 15 years of experience advising owner-managers and executives in small and medium-sized enterprises as well as large publicly listed companies. He is a results-driven advisor with a passion for helping businesses achieve their full potential.

His analytical skills and ability to build strong relationships make him a valuable sparring partner for owner-managers and boards of directors alike. With an in-depth understanding of the retail, automotive, and service industries, Kasper has successfully completed numerous advisory projects in strategic development and corporate transactions.

Kasper has a strong background from leading companies, most recently from Danske Bank and previously from KPMG. He also holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting (Cand.merc. FIR) from Copenhagen Business School (CBS).

Mikail Yilmaz

M&A Analyst

Mikail Yilmaz is currently enrolled in an MSc programme in Finance and Accounting at Copenhagen Business School and has also completed a BSc programme in Economics and Business Administration.

Throughout his academic journey, he has developed strong interests and competencies in corporate finance and M&A. Prior to his time at Consilio Partners, Mikail worked in digital marketing within the healthcare industry.
